MAREC Action, in partnership with Bricker Graydon, a prominent Midwest law firm with a focus on energy issues, is excited to host the Kentucky New Energy Summit on June 9th at the Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington. This daylong event will showcase new energy technologies and the role they can play in meeting energy demand growth in the Commonwealth while delivering economic development opportunities.

Panelists and speakers will highlight state and county-level considerations for siting and zoning of new energy technologies and project financing through industrial revenue bonds (IRBs) and other tools.

“We are thrilled to bring together state and local officials, energy developers, law firms, large energy users, and others for this event”, said Caroline Fletcher, State Affairs Manager for MAREC Action. “Solar, wind, natural gas, and SMRs could all play a part in Kentucky’s “all-of-the-above” energy mix, providing power to meet the Commonwealth’s growing demand. The New Energy Summit will highlight how counties can take advantage of the economic opportunities of these new technologies.”

The Summit will run from 10:30am-4:30pm and feature multiple panels, a keynote address from Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Governor Beshear, and a networking lunch. Following the event, Bricker Graydon will host a reception from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Free registration is available for government officials. Click here to register.
